"Do what you love, do it well.... there will be no regrets"

Creating visually for as long as he can remember...

Michael Thompson is trained in both contemporary and classical design/art theories, techniques and mediums.

He has a B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts), 'Magna Cum Laude', with specific emphasis in studio painting & drawing, and a secondary emphasis in graphic and typographic layout. He aquired his degree from Bemidji State University in the beautiful lake strewn region of Northern Minnesota.

Starting his career journey as a naval engineer, he eventually found his calling as an artist and designer.

His educational tour began with art/design collegiate training and finished with a European internship tour which brought him to Oxford as well as mainland Europe.

Shortly after college graduation in 1995, Michael discovered the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, and that is where he has lived ever since. He started off in the Vail Valley and then the stunning mountain region of Telluride. Now Michael resides in Montrose, creating happily and serving the design needs of the Western Slope of Colorado, (including Telluride, Montrose, Grand Junction, Durango, Ridgway and Olathe) as well as clients throughout the country.

Michael has seen a great deal of the world throughout his life and travels. He has been exposed to a vast array of peoples, cultures and places. He has lived and grown in places such as Texas, California, Nevada, the Phillipines, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and ultimately here in Colorado. He has traveled to many places to experience cultures and creative ideals such as the Middle East, Thailand, Singapore, Hawaii/Guam & Europe (England, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany).

His biggest thrill, and greatest gift, is his daughter Maiah. Raising, teaching and learning from her is the best experience in the world.

Michael is also an avid radio control aircraft enthuisiast. If he isnt in the office designing, or the studio painting, you can probably find him flying or building (hopefully not just repairing) one of his planes. He also has an interest in guitar playing, and music of all types. We wont get into the video games...lol....

An active professional in the Art, Web, Graphic & Multimedia design industry for over fifteen years, Michael doesn't see any creative project as being a roadblock, but just another hurdle to conquer.
